Chef Gina’s Love, Adventure, and Recipe Series is a food lit series – focusing on recipes as part of the fictional journey of Chef Gina’s travels across the United States.

Having already traveled from Illinois to Tennessee, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York, Chef Gina finds herself in Vermont where she explores the taste of adding beer to recipes.  Vermont Hops Embraced  continues to take  the reader into Chef Gina’s private world as she struggles to re-establish her life and career having nearly lost it all from a charge of plagiarizing recipes.

Vermont Hops EmbracedIn Vermont during the month of March, winter is still in full swing.  The crisp white surroundings of snow and ice enveloping the peaceful countryside are just what Chef Gina needs to calm down her emotions following her New York trip with her manager.

She determinedly pushes her recently discovered affection for him aside and focuses instead on her boyfriend who manages to join her in Vermont.   Yet, her determination to also succeed in recapturing her career puts her in constant phone contact with her manager.

Denying the electrical charge between Chef Gina and her manager even through the phone seems almost impossible only contributing to even more tension between them.

Further confusing the situation, Chef Gina’s boyfriend suddenly hints of marriage during his visit.  Barely having gotten to know him again, Chef Gina is only confused all the more by his amorous words.  A future with him seems tempting, but how could she even fantasize about the possibility while her thoughts are filled with that of her manager rather than her boyfriend!

Not to mention the complicated prospect of being able to pursue her career goals if she actually succumbed to her boyfriend’s suggestion of marriage!

This edition of Chef Gina’s Love, Adventure, and Recipe Series delivers taste, tension, and tenacity as Chef Gina has to find a way to find balance and courage to keep pursuing her dreams in career, love, and life.

Chef Gina’s adventures were launched in Chicago, where she went from living her dream life as a premier celebrity chef in Chicago to losing her career, boyfriend, and home – all in one day.  In an attempt to reclaim her career, Chef Gina hit the road in a vintage truck and travel trailer developing a food blog, cookbook, and e-store.

In Book 1: Tennessee Whisky Cure, Chef Gina discovers the flavors of cooking with whiskey at a roadside diner in Tennessee.  She also discovers that although tempted to give up – she actually does have the courage to face her new life adventures while fighting for her dreams.

In Book 2:  Amish Homecoming Feast, Chef Gina returns to her home state of Indiana and faces her past, rekindling a relationship with an old boyfriend.  There, she embraces many of the Amish foods and flavors of her childhood.

In Book 3:  Mackinaw Cherry Redemption, Chef Gina journeys to Michigan’s Mackinac Island to help a friend in need.  Cherries are featured in decadent recipes.  While on Mackinac, Chef Gina learns that despite so many elements working against her (including a snowstorm), her own pride might be her ultimate undoing.

In Book 4: Apple Moonlight Christmas, Chef Gina’s travels take her to Ohio where she finds Christmas magic in the joy of cooking with apples.  There, she enters a cooking contest, but the possibility of losing the contest threatens her new and fragile path as a food blogger.

In Book 5:  Dutch Chocolate Madness, Chef Gina finds herself in Hershey, Pennsylvania where chocolate becomes the featured ingredient of the recipes she explores.  Desperate to ramp up her food blog with an interview with a chocolate connoisseur, Chef Gina finds that putting false charges of plagiarism behind her may not be so easy.

In Book 6:  Pizza, Pasta, and Liberty, Chef Gina takes on the flavors of New York, New York mastering pizzas, pastas, and sauces.  Disappointed by the absence of her boyfriend on Valentine’s Day, she accepts her handsome manager’s offer to show her the big city sites. Yet, the physical attraction between Chef Gina and her manager is undeniable and makes keeping things on a professional level challenging.
